At the heart of all Primal rods is a helical core of Nano matrix prepreg. In simple terms the first layer at the core of the fly rods are off-axis fibres that give the rods incredible hoop strength as well as torsional stability.  This makes the rods not only strong but means they cast a very smooth tight loop with very little tip bounce and exceptional tracking.  Less sideways movement of the rod blank while casting means more accurate, smoother casting.

Brilliant value package - I’ve used my Primal 10’ 6wt for lake fishing. It’s superb. Not so different to his Scott Centric 10’ 6wt says my fishing mate. The Primal 5wt feels equally great together with the fly lab reel and airflo line. This combo would have cost twice as much in Australia.

Primal rods - I have two Primal rods. The 9 ft 8# which is light with great core strength and you can cast all day.The other is the 10ft 6#.Great for casting a shooting head or nymphing, especially on the Tongariro where you need to have a heavier bomb.Value for money they would be one of the best.
