Note - changing over to the new version, the difference is a redesigned drag knob, note also that the old spools do not fit on the new reel

Just a quick note to say thanks for the new SLV reels. Gave them a really good workout on the Tongariro early this week and they went really well. In fact I caught two fish with my first two casts, and four in my first 2 hour session. The reels are great to use and handle shooting heads and floating lines really well. Drag system is great and stopped one rainbow from disappearing down the rapids. One comment to note is that these are BIG REELS. I got the 8/9 size which is fine but you could easily drop down a size and still handle 8/9 weight lines. Will be in touch.
