Positive First Impressions - Haven't had the chance to use yet but they look to be excellent quality and a great fit - thanks to Steve for his size recommendations. I normally take a US12 but previous boots were a little snug wearing 3mm wading socks, so went for the US13 and they feel a lot more comfortable.

Excellent quality - Have just finished a week fishing some rugged terrain in Southland. The gear took a real hammering, crossing strong rivers, sliding down rock banks, scraping through fallen trees and the gear handled it comfortably. The waders are durable and flexible while the boots are the most comfortable I’ve owned to date. The grip was fine for just about all surfaces but I will install studs for those large slippery boulders in river crossings for next time. The Flyshop measuring system and instructions are clear and accurate. I purchased the items online from Australia prior to flying to Queenstown, the boots and waders arrived right on time and were a perfect fit. Steve and the team are outstanding with their service. Can comfortably recommend them.

Great service, fast delivery and awesome product - Flyshop got the Drift Waders and Boots combo delivered incredibly quickly, thank you. Product is great. If I were to make any tweaks it would be to include a carry bag to store the waders. Might also suggest an adjustable elastic pull around the top of the chest so you can cinch them tight. But that's being picky. They're really durable and very comfortable. Thank you.

great waders - Very comfortable and durable

Tough, comfortable, stylish and dry - The manufacturers of the Desolve Drift Waders boast that these waders are tough, “… good luck trying to bust ‘em”. I inadvertently put that claim to the test when I crashed my shin into a submerged log. I knew I had taken skin off the shin, and I thought I had wrecked my new waders first trip out. No, there was not a mark on the waders. I’ve had a few trips with them now. They are indeed tough, with five layers of fabric in the seat and legs. The gravel guards fit snuggly over the boot and stay put whether you hook the guards onto the boot lace or not. Despite their toughness, they are also very comfortable, either when fishing or walking. Other anglers have noted that they are indeed quite stylish, but most importantly, they’ve kept me dry after long hours in the water. There’s a huge zipped pocket in front, with a hand warmer behind, a smaller internal pocket useful for more precious items like car keys or phone. These are my second set of waders from Evolve Outdoor (Desolve Supply Co.), the first being Riverworks Z series waders and boots. If I get as many season from the Drift Waders as I did from my Riverworks then I’ll be happy, but I expect to get more use out of them. I certainly expect a longer life than my previous famous big name American waders, which lasted 14 months of light fishing. One thing, the size chart on the Desolve Supply Co. webpages don’t make sense. If I followed their recommendation, I’d be wearing 2XL. I could swim inside those. Thanks to Steve at the Flyshop NZ, I got the right size. Trust Steve, trust the Flyshop size chart. Like the Drift Waders, the Drift Boots are equally tough and solidly constructed. They have a good stiff sole with plenty of grip. They also have high sides for excellent ankle support, something I need after a fishing trip went badly wrong 30 years ago wrecking an ankle. Plus, there’s a nice cushion around the top of the boot for extra comfort. There are deep hooks for the laces. They haven’t popped out as I’ve experienced with other wading boots and some of my hiking boots. My previous Riverworks Z boots were comfortable and served me well. The next pair, famous big name American boots, were more comfortable but barely lasted a year before the stitching went. These Drifts are the best wading boots I’ve worn!!! I say that as someone with a weak ankle and occasional sufferer of plantar fasciitis who has worn them from dawn to dusk without any discomfort or tiredness.
