So you can quickly pass the tippet through the hook eye.
This is the standard threader (blue) and comes in packets of 4 threaders, and is recommended for flies size #19 - #16, and will no doubt work on larger flies too

Great for those with impaired eyesight - I purchased these to assist with threading my tippet through the eye of the hook. I have poor close vision even while wearing corrective glasses. These are a godsend and make this task so much easier. I have drilled a small hole through the base and threaded a cord so they are now attached to my line clippers. Easy and they cant get lost.
