Update - 10/03/2025
I've used this style of stud and haven't had the issues with them coming out. So, suggest the below for stud location (note the red dots). (Note if your boot sole is of a softer sole material, then expect to lose studs)
Suggested Stud Placements. If the boot doesn't have marked stud placements, put them between the cleats, (note the red dots below) and on the outside particularly on the front section, then you won't feel them pushing up under the ball of your foot. If you put them on top of the cleats, they'll give more grip, but they won't stay in very long.

Great while they lasted - Worked really well but lost a couple of studs each day on the river. Thread needs to be longer. Too expensive for what they are

Disappointing - Delivery was excellent, only a couple of days. Studs look the business but required a special tool to install which was a pain. First day in Tongariro they worked really well. Next time experienced slipping & found half the studs had fallen out! Very disappointing.
Note From Store Owner: Sole type plays a part in how well the studs will stay in, the stronger the sole the more there is for the studs to grip onto...
